Through a positive and non-judgmental manner, my aim is to support you to understand your thoughts and emotions, and to help you rediscover or develop the ways or tools you need to be able to deal with the difficulties or challenges you face. I believe that it is important to find the right therapist for you as this can make a substantial difference to the outcome of therapy. It can feel like a big challenge to take the first step and contact a therapist, but an initial session will provide you with an opportunity to meet me, explore your needs and expectations, and have a conversation about what you could expect from the counselling process. Then, if you feel it may be of benefit to you, we can discuss further weekly sessions. This may mean arranging a fixed number of sessions or agreeing to work together in a more open-ended way.
